Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Operations Excellence team in Pendleton, SC (AMISC) is responsible for supporting all implementation of LEAN tenants through Arthrex. We are searching for a Co-op pursuing an industrial engineering, business, or data analytics degree to support the Operations Excellence team at AMI. The successful candidate will materially participate in the shop floor, business process, and new product introduction kaizen events, gather, analyze, and provide recommendations based on data gathered during and after implementation of management for daily improvement boards. Additionally, the successful candidate will create and present to Operations Excellence Management findings on additional opportunities for improvements observed during the intern period.

This internship will run from May 2025 - August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Pendleton, SC facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• LEAN Training, Time Studies, Data Gathering, 5S.


• Kaizen Event Support.


• MDI implementation.


• Introduction to Six Sigma.


• This is an in-office position located in Pendleton, SC ; it is not a remote position.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Business, or Data Science . (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Good communication skills.


• Excellent written skills.


• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Visio, MiniTab, Mathmatica/MatLab a plus.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
