Job Title: Accounts Payable Analyst
Salary Range: $52,000-65,000
About the Position
The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments. This role ensures compliance with internal financial controls and plays a key role in maintaining positive vendor relationships. The Accounts Payable Analyst will also assist in driving process improvements and supporting other members of the Accounts Payable team.

Review, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures and accounting policies.
Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve issues related to accounts payable transactions promptly.
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
Serve as the point of contact for vendor inquiries, working to resolve payment discrepancies and provide information as needed.
Accurately enter vendor information, invoices, and payment details into the accounting system, maintaining organized records of all AP transactions.
Assist in preparing and processing check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments on a scheduled basis.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocations, coding of expenses, and timely invoice approvals.
Identify and support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the AP function.
Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in various finance-related projects, providing support to the AP Manager and the broader finance team.
Promote and uphold safe work practices through awareness, training, and reporting of potential hazards.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably in a non-profit or retail environment.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in nonprofit accounting is preferred but not required.
Physical Abilities:
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
Occasionally required to lift and carry files or documents weighing up to 10 pounds.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
Visual acuity to review detailed financial documents and computer screens.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements, such as typing and using a mouse.
Maintain reliable attendance and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
