We are looking for a Complex (Fracture Critical) Bridge Inspection Team leader. This candidate will serve as a Team Leader on complex bridge inspections, including highway and pedestrian bridges of all shapes and sizes across the state of Texas. This individual must be qualified as a NHI Routine and Complex Team Leader and will be responsible for leading the inspection team, adhering to inspection schedules, QC/QA, and client expectations. Responsibilities
Serve as an inspection Team Leader for bridge inspections on TxDOT Routine Contracts or Fracture Critical Contracts with ability for some travel
Write bridge inspection reports and review inspection reports written by other engineers/inspectors
Supervise and direct the work of inspectors, EITs, PEs, and CADD Technicians as appropriate
Inspect and/or manage inspection for ancillary sign structures, high mass light towers, and bridges both above and under water
Assist with other bridge design, inspection, load rating project duties
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
Texas PE license
Successful completion of NHI 2-week Bridge Safety Inspection course and refresher course to maintain Team Leader status and Fracture Critical Team Leader PM status
Minimum 5 years of experience working on bridge inspection projects, preferably for TxDOT with experience as a TxDOT Bridge Inspection Team Leader and Fracture Critical Leader
Experience and ability to lead a team with strong communication and problem solving skills
Must be able and willing to travel
Experience managing projects including client relationships, managing bridge inspection teams, and a focused adherence to schedules and budgets is a plus
NDT experience and certifications is a plus
SPRAT experience and certifications is a plus
ADCI diver certifications is a plus
Load rating experience is a plus
Bridge design experience is a plus
Live in, commute, or willing to relocate to Round Rock, Texas
