Wells Fargo is seeking a Treasury Analyst for the Capital Markets Liquidity team within the Liquidity Management team of Corporate Treasury. Capital Markets Liquidity (CML) is a part of Liquidity Management within Corporate Treasury. CML works closely with members of Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth & Investment Management to provide liquidity management for all capital markets activities of the firm.
CML is involved in managing the liquidity risk of WFS LLC and WFCS LLC. Wells Fargo Securities, LLC (WFS LLC) provides investment banking and capital markets products and services to mid-market, large, and Fortune 500 companies. WFS LLC is registered as a broker-dealer with the SEC and all state securities regulators. It is a member of FINRA. WFS LLC is also a registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA). WFS LLC is designated a primary dealer by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Wells Fargo Clearing Services, LLC (WFCS), a Delaware limited liability company, is the Company's primary retail broker-dealer. It is registered as a broker-dealer and investment advisor with the SEC. WFCS is wholly owned by Wachovia Securities Financial Holdings, LLC, which is a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of the Parent that serves as the holding company for the retail brokerage and clearing businesses headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. WFCS represents the majority of the Company's retail brokerage business operations. WFCS is a full service, registered broker-dealer that is a member of FINRA and Securities Investor Protection Corporation. WFCS conducts business using two brands: Wells Fargo Advisors and First Clearing.
In this role, you will:
Understand the business model of the broker dealers including all aspects related to funding
Track the secured funding activities of the broker dealers
Analyze the liquidity risk associated with the broker dealers business activities
Compile reports pertaining to funding and liquidity metrics
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
Plan and set policies and guidelines for capital markets liquidity management
Monitor and evaluate capital market conditions
Provide liquidity management advisory to capital markets related lines of business
Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and the Modeling teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies
Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Support the CML team with control management and RCSA efforts as well as during internal testing and examination engagements such as Independent Testing and Validation (IT&V), Internal Audit, and Regulatory exams
Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint)
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Python
Experience with SQL and/or similar relational database management systems
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross functional team organizational structure
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skill
