Benefits Analyst I
Location: The ideal candidate will be based within 50 miles of the preferred Elevance Health locations: ID- Idaho, GA- Columbus.
Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites (major offices) used for collaboration, community, and connection.This position will be primarily in the office 3x a week.

The Benefits Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the identification of business needs and the translation into application software requirements to support operations and production
How you will make an impact:
- Collects and analyzes data about business needs, assists in determining specific business application software requirements, and ensures requirements are incorporated into system designs and testing.
- Builds and enters custom benefit plans with the appropriate plan provisions and state mandates for various medical products.
- Researches and responds to standard inquiries from various departments.
- Provides onsite support with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Has an understanding of state mandates and the plan provisions contained in the certificate of insurance.
- This is an entry level position to Analyst roles.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and any experience in claims processing, previous medical health care or analytical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- 2 years experience in claims and processing, previous medical health care or analytical experience preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder certification preferred.
