The Business Analyst II is responsible for project and program oversight which entails creatively producing high-quality project requirements, thorough testing plans, and initiating stakeholder engagement. In addition, this role must monitor cross-functional IT team product development to ensure agreed-upon solutions deliver the intended business value on time, within scope, and within budget.
How you will make an impact:
Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs.
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.
Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual generation of Medicaid and Commercial reports, daily monitoring, and validation of program files to identify/report/ track/resolve rejects and/or defects in tandem with our business partners.
Ensure inbound integrated and external files are received on-time and routed to their appropriate locations.
Collaborate with business partners to preemptively minimize risks while increasing project and product performance.
Leads business and technical requirement discussions.
Creates complex queries to meet reporting needs of internal partners and health plans.
Performs stakeholder interviews to elicit and assess complex project/program, requirements.
Root cause analysis.
Performs UAT; assist IT with SIT as needed.
Process modeling for new implementations, business and technical requirement changes.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in listening and oral communication.
Advanced proficiency with SQL to query databases effectively, extract vital business data, and perform data manipulation preferred.
Advanced proficiency with API integration Proficient with Power BI and Tableau preferred.
Advanced with various process modeling tolls.
Advanced proficiency in writing, business documentation preferred.
Advanced proficiency with thinking abstractly; finding and leveraging patterns.
Adept understanding and analysis of existing Pega system and databases to identify areas for improvement or troubleshooting issues preferred.
Advanced proficiency with managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $63,888 to $104,544.
