Job Description:





Responsibilities


  • Performing project management duties and serve as primary client liaison - oversees work plan execution, provides periodic internal and client facing status reports, generates invoices and manages the project budget, oversees development and distribution of deliverables, and manages day-to-day communication and coordination with client team.

  • Actively identify and qualify likely leads which require formal firm follow up

  • Direct channel development activity to appropriate team leaders for additional follow up

  • Work collaboratively with firm leaders to analyze target areas of interest for development and effectively prioritize and plan the best approach to the market area

  • Create innovative ideas for industry-focused relationship building events, strengthen firm brand awareness through active external organization and event involvement

  • Represent company at regional trade association meetings to promote services

  • Work to further develop existing client relationships for other service area in identified regions

  • Gather competitive intelligence and knowledge surrounding industry trends, share insights with client services, marketing and sales

  • Document business development activity with prospective clients to track and manage information in Firm's client relationship management (CRM) system

  • Promote to the identified audiences on the full range of Baker Tilly service offerings while in the development process



Qualifications


  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or MS Degree highly desired

  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in school finance as a superintendent or assistant superintendent

  • Solid analytical, organizational and project management skills

  • Must be able to pass the Series 50 Municipal Advisor exam within one (1) year of hire

  • Ability to work under a defined and planned directive with minimal direct day to day supervision for implementation

  • Maturity and adaptability - ability to interface with a variety of personality profiles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel as needed
