Job Description:
The Enterprise Data Governance & Data Quality Lead will provide leadership/insight into the new Data Management team building Data Governance, Metadata, and Data Quality. This role will lead the work for these multiple disciplines to be part of the team that will build a world-class Data Management environment for Datasite.
Preferred location is Minnesota.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with large Databases and volumes of data
Using modern tools and technology for Governance, Metadata and DQ to build automation and reusability
Identify and research gaps in data, Governance, Metadata, and/or DQ
Partner with other team members cross-functional partners to support business processes, system solutions and strategic projects
Assist in managing the life cycle of data, including reference and master data issues, from identification, analysis, phased introduction, prioritization, and planning of the integration of the data
Make recommendations of data standards/policies and collaborate with Data Governance members to ensure all decisions are documented and standards/policies are created
Lead the development of Metadata and advocate for use, best practices, standards, etc.
Assist with the development of Data Quality methodology and advocate adoption of best practices
Respond in a timely manner to various inquiries from clients (internal and external)
Investigate, collect, and analyze volumes of data, monitor, analyze and interpret data to develop Data Management improvement possibilities and metric reporting
Partner with Vendors to ensure Data Management tools are meeting our requirements, are valid, and up-to-date, etc.
Lead training efforts on Metadata, Data Quality, etc.
Drive innovation in the Metadata and DQ domains, leveraging the data harvested to correlate, quantify, and guide remediation activities through Data Governance and Data Models
Lead Data Steward and Data Quality initiatives/meetings
Partner with Data Council leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate area of specialization (ie: Business, Computer, etc.) preferred
7-10 years' experience analyzing and working with Enterprise level data in a Data Governance, Metadata, and/or Data Quality environment
Must have experience in leading large efforts (preferably with Data Management at its core)
Experience working in Data Governance, using Metadata and/or Data Quality tools
Working with large volumes of data to identify potential issues, Metadata and/or Data Quality improvements, Data Ownership, etc.
Previous experience working with tools that support Data Governance, Metadata, and/or Data Quality
Experience developing and performing training activities
Experience with SQL, PowerBI or other reporting tools
Must be a self-starter who can analyze data and situations to make recommendations on resolution activity
Must possess excellent communication skills
The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate's compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
Salary Range - $86,850 - $150,400
