Particle Measuring Systems (PMS) sets the standard for cleanroom contamination monitoring. We create the technology that enables our customers to make fact-based decisions, improve process yields and comply with ever-changing regulatory requirements.



The Role



The role of Quality Systems Engineer involves overseeing and implementing improvements to the quality management system. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in quality systems and has a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, the Quality Systems Engineer should enhance our quality processes while driving compliance to ISO9001 & ISO17025 standards. The ideal candidate will also challenge the status quo and exhibit an exceptional ability to work cross-functionally. This role reports to the Director of Quality.



Specific Job Responsibilities:



  • Streamline, digitize, and manage the following processes within the quality management system:

    • Customer surveys

    • Production & Service Equipment Calibration

    • Temporary Deviations

    • Non-conformance/Corrective Actions

    • Document Control

    • QMS Training



  • Review, edit, and execute contractual quality agreements with customers.

  • Coordinate and maintain ISO9001 certification & 17025 accreditation at headquarters and satellite locations globally.

  • Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.

  • Manage internal audit program and lead internal audits.

  • Coordinate and lead annual management reviews.

  • Collect and analyze performance data for identifying improvement opportunities and provide monthly metrics to drive compliance.

  • Provide leadership and expertise for QMS related processes transitioning to new ERP and other software systems.

  • Provide training on Quality issues and business processes.




Qualifications:



  • BS in engineering or technical/scientific degree preferred with 5+ years working in a Quality related role.

  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and driving continuous improvement.

  • Experience with ISO9001 and ISO17025 required.

  • Has strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to align other departments around a vision.

  • Thorough knowledge of quality management systems and problem-solving techniques.

  • Quality Engineering and/or Quality Auditing Certifications(s) preferred.

  • Experience with semiconductor and/or life sciences industries desired.




The Details




Location - This is an "in-office" position 90 - 100% of the time. The location of this position is in Boulder, CO with a move to Niwot, CO in 2025. The remainder of the time you may work from home. These percentages are targets with the actual schedule to be determined in conjunction with the Director of Quality of PMS. Local candidates will receive first consideration, but relocation may be offered for this role. Travel is approximately 10%.

Pay Range



$85000 - 130000 depending upon experience



How we determine what we pay (compensation philosophy)



Particle Measuring Systems determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for the Boulder, Colorado area. We will evaluate external equity, which is the relative marketplace job worth of jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.


For new hires, we make competitive offers between the minimum and the midpoint of the range. There may be times when we will offer above the midpoint. The decision to do so will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and the compensation rates of the employees within the company doing the same position.
