Position Summary

The Labour Compliance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing labor practices within the company to ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, safety standards, and equal employment opportunity (EEO) requirements. This position requires close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and HR teams to uphold ethical labor practices and minimize legal risks for the company.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Helps track union employees and manage their certifications (DIR to verify)
  • Create invoices to cover weekly payroll;
  • Prepare weekly certified payroll reports for prevailing wage and union jobs;
  • Prepare and send installation packets with all labor compliance requirements to installation subcontractors;
  • Prepare and submit CCIP and OCIP enrollment and monthly reporting
  • Manage multiple spreadsheets tracking projects and requirements
  • Update ICI job cost sheets with weekly payroll and misc. job cost invoices
  • Prepare checks for ICI’s misc. invoices (i.e.: utility, forklift, supplies, etc.)
  • Prepare and submit monthly union fringe benefit reports
  • Prepare safety forms such as IIP, HIPP, SDS, JHA, and Silica Exposure
  • Additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in compliance, HR, or a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including prevailing wage laws, OSHA, and EEO.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management software is a plus.
