The Athletics Department has a great opportunity for a Football Nutrition Services Coordinator - Temporary to work at the Coral Gables Campus.
Actively participate as a member of the University of Miami Sports Nutrition staff
Oversee the daily operations and logistics, as they relate to football
Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to oversee meal ordering and menu development
Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to oversee the budget
Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to submit expense reports
Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to procure vendors and to maintain relationships/communications with the vendors
Manage and supervise all aspects of operations of Nutrition Center and assigned Fueling Stations including managing student-volunteers/interns/work study, product inventory, ordering, receiving, and distribution
Maintain effective communication with coaching staff, athletic trainers, strength staff and other individuals from the Athletic Department on any nutrition related matter.
Serve our student-athletes with a positive, welcoming, and committed attitude.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the sports dietitian
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in clinical nutrition, dietetics, food and nutrition or a related area
Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete work tasks with minimal direction
Knowledge of sports nutrition and food service management
Ability to be punctual, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Canva
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
Strong organizational skills.
Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
