Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY


The PHP developer manages current and upcoming projects. The PHP is responsible for creating, maintaining and enhancing our web applications and websites using PHP, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring optimal performance and user experience.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.



  • Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.

  • Troubleshooting application and code issues.

  • Updating and altering application features to enhance performance.

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP.

  • Design and manage database systems, ensuring data integrity and security.

  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in web development.

  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications on various platforms.

  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience as a PHP Developer or similar role.

  • JavaScript: 3 years (Preferred)

  • PHP development: 3 years (Preferred)

  • WordPress: 1 year PHP: 3 years (Preferred)

  • Proficient with code versioning tools including Git, and SVN.



SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:



  • To perform the position, you must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a US Person as a US Citizen,
    US Permanent Resident (I.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.

  • Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.

  • Knowledge of WordPress, widgets, and plugins.

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery

  • Ability to manage projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Familiarity with SQL/MySQL databases.

  • Familiarity with Apache and IIS service administration

  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, WordPress and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and JQuery.

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

  • Experience with database management systems, especially MySQL.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Understanding of web security principles and best practices.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. WORKING CONDITIONS:


Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
