We are seeking an Associate Director of Technology Product Management to lead a dynamic team of Technical Product Managers. This role is pivotal in defining and driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric software solutions and meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development methodologies, service-oriented architecture, and product analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Vision Setting:
  • Develop Product Strategy: Lead a team in developing a technical product vision and strategy by understanding customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Roadmap Development: Define and prioritize the technical product roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business, architecture, UX, and other product managers.

Product Development and Lifecycle Management:
  • Guide Product Development: Define and communicate detailed software product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure Product Viability: Establish success criteria and monitor product performance to ensure technical product viability, desirability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee Product Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the product, from ideation through development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Team Leadership:
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with Architecture and Engineering on technical design and identify and manage critical dependencies.
  • Support Trade-off Discussions: Facilitate negotiations and alignment on feature prioritization, technical solutions, and timing with stakeholders.
  • Voice of the Customer: Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor product management teams, providing guidance and support to achieve product goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various departments such as product engineering, sales, and customer support to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.

Agile Practices and Expertise:
  • Participate in sprint planning and support feature refinement, addressing questions and providing guidance as needed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and acknowledged authority within the organization for assigned product(s) or product line(s).

Experience and Skills:
  • Product Management Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in product management within a technology-driven environment, with significant exposure to end-to-end product lifecycle management.
  • Leadership Roles: A minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role, managing product teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of technology stacks, software development processes, and technical feasibility. Experience working closely with engineering teams is critical.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support.
  • Preferred technical Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • This role includes supervisory duties over a team of employees performing Technical Product Manager work.

Our Assoc Director-Tech Product Mgmt, earns between $174,100.00-$261,100.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
