Job Title:Post Doctoral ScholarDepartment:Medicine | Surgery Cardiac

The primary responsibilities of the postdoctoral scholar will include:



  • Lead role in their research project(s).

  • Designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and writing/publishing manuscripts as the lead author.

  • Presenting their results at the local and national/international meetings,

  • Assisting PI with grant applications.

  • Assisting with IRB and IACUC protocols.

  • Supervising undergraduate and graduate researchers in the lab.



Efforts to secure funding for successful career development will be encouraged and supported. Depending on the candidates' priorities, the PI will provide guidance to assist with successful careers in academia.



Desired Experience:


Experience in cardiomyocyte isolation, Ca2+ recordings, Confocal Microscopy, Arrhythmia analysis, advanced cell biology, and molecular cloning techniques, along with excellent writing and verbal communication skills, are desirable.



Requirements:


A Doctoral degree (PhD or MD/PhD) in Physiology, Electrophysiology, Molecular genetics, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related disciplines is required by the time of the appointment. Successful completion of pre-employment processes is also required.
