The Revenue Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger transactions as related to revenue. This position provides support in creating and maintaining integrity in the company’s financial statements as well as analytical reviews to support financial improvement.
Responsibilities
Completion of monthly revenue journal entries adhering to the monthly financial deadlines
Reconcile and certify journals, accounts and tasks in the Blackline Accounting system as assigned
Analytical review of revenue in the financial statements compared to operational revenue reporting
Preparation of monthly and quarterly revenue audit schedules
Analyze, research, consolidate and interpret financial data as it relates to revenue, prepare detailed reports, variance analyses, and presentations for review by all levels of management that are revenue related
Completion of quarterly random revenue audits to ensure adherence to controls
Assisting with revenue allocations as needed
Development of pricing models for contract amendments and new business
Assist with internal and external audit for proper documentation of internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures around revenue.
Prepare Audit schedules as assigned.
Other duties as assigned
Prepare pricing models with rates for new business by fixed variable, hourly, or bid templates with more in depth pricing structures and assumptions.
Prepare pricing models for existing customer business as requested for pricing increases and renewals
Updating pricing model template with inflationary items.
Training new sales team members and engineers on pricing model inputs.
Leading weekly pricing calls.
Provide detailed summaries for sales and ops for pricing increases based on cost summary comparisons and per mile increases broken down by major category.
Prepare Dedicated Customer level budget according to budget timelines.
Collaborate with Account Managers and Directors to collect all their data for the budget.
Review fuel scales and current contracts to ensure accurate Budgets/Pricing model
Reviewing and evaluate final budgets with Directors.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational skills
Must have a strong attention to detail

Entry level experience in financial accounting

Pay Range: $49,657-$77,923
