As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Benefits Manager based in the Lake Forest, California or Redmond, Washington branch.

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Benefits Manager is responsible for all benefits and the administration of those benefits, employee wellness and recognition initiatives, benefits related compliance, and supporting the Vice President of Human Resources in the execution of the human resources strategy for the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of HR experience particularly in benefits management and compliance.
  • Proficient in benefits management, procurement and reporting, employee relations, compensation, legal compliance and wellness initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal laws governing employee benefits.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Passion for supporting a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide others effectively.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a “Solve it” mentality.
  • Experience with strategic HR projects, including mergers and acquisitions, especially integrating acquired organization’s benefits.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Proximity to one of our offices, with the ability to work on-site 4-5 days per week.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for overnight work.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all employee benefits initiatives, including managing open enrollment, wellness programs, 401(k), and Deferred Compensation.
  • Oversee medical claims and ensure smooth benefits administration.
  • Manage compliance reporting related to benefits, veterans, and affirmative action.
  • Select and manage relationships with benefit vendors and partners.
  • Lead employee recognition programs that foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure legal compliance and manage FMLA, STD, and LTD administration.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Human Resources on benefits integration related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Regularly update the Employee Handbook and ensure that corporate policies remain current.
  • Serve as backup to the Senior HR Specialist.
