The Opportunity
The Sterile Processing Education Project Manager position reports to the Director of Sterile Processing, partnering with local site leaders as it relates to device reprocessing training activities. This position is responsible for coordinating developing the instructional curriculum and supporting evidence based practice to enhance the learner's competence of all relevant device reprocessing activities. This includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the education program and training of all staff members performing device reprocessing to ensure appropriate professional development for all team members. This position also oversees new employee orientation and competency assessment, as well as continuing education for all team members as related to device reprocessing activities. The Sterile Processing Educator provides support to staff performing training activities and is responsible for developing training strategies to enhance staff knowledge with respect to processing practices and service delivery.
