Bindery Operator 2

Experience and skills needed:

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Must be able to use basic math skills to document or validate component
  quantity.
• Demonstrated history of following detailed operating procedures and consistent completion of quality checks, including measuring to
  1/64" on a ruler.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, Job tickets, AIT's and other job specifications containing requirements necessary to complete the work and maintain dimensional accuracy to meet LSC Workmanship standards.
• Assures the highest level of professionalism and personal performance necessary to meet or exceed performance goals set by the company for safety, customer service excellence, efficiency and profitability. Experience working in a team environment as well as the ability to complete tasks in a self-directed manner.
• Troubleshoots problems to maintain quality standards and to keep equipment in safe/running condition - requests maintenance as required to meet these objectives.
• Operate and monitor DataMerge, COMN, MLU and press management systems; accurately account for and consume all material.
• Operate and maintain the cutter, folder, and large auto cutter.
• Operate and maintain roll sheeter and support sheetfed press operation in the
  assignment of assistant press operator (Feeder operator).
• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock-out-tag- out rules as well as hearing and eye protection policies.
• Must be able and willing to work 4 crew/12 hour shifts as well as 3 crew rotations with extended hours to cover peer absences and meet schedules set to satisfy our customers' expectations.
• At times off cycle shift change will be required in this assignment
• Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Must be able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion of hands/arms. Requires hand/eye coordination and hand/finger dexterity.
• Must be able to stand continuously and be able to lift up to 20 lbs. regularly, 40 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Management Team.
• Previous experience running Polar cutters, MBO folders and GBC laminating equipment as well experience working as sheet-fed press assistant/operator is desired.
• Note that this assignment will ultimately require the employee to operate CSS Cutters and Folders and on a regular basis.
