We are looking for two (2) General Liability Adjusters for a national insurance firm. The positions can sit in San Diego, CA or Greenwood, CO. Must be proficient in handling General Liability & Auto Liability Property Damage and Injury claims. Onsite roles for three (3) months. $30-$40/hr DOE
Claims must be handled in accordance with client, carrier and company guidelines, statutory regulations, and best practices.
Responsible for conducting investigations, setting adequate reserves, handling claim effectively throughout the life cycle of the claim, up to and including claim disposition and/or litigation in an expeditious and cost-effective manner.
Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision. Possess experience to determine the nature of loss, coverage availability, scope of claim.
Position requires a high level of oral and written communication skills. Nature of written work includes Caption Reports, Reservation of Rights, Disclaimers and/or any other necessary written correspondence.
Ability to understand, evaluate and negotiate settlements for complex injury cases/claims made cases.
Manages the litigation process throughout the finalization of the case.
Works as a claims client manager when handling designated client claims.
Actively participates in mediations, arbitrations, and appeal hearings within prescribed settlement authority.
Communicates with vendors, defense counsel, clients, claimants, and insurance companies.
Travels as necessary to attend appeal hearings, mediations, client claim reviews, arbitration/trial monitoring and/or as otherwise needed.
Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or higher
Five (5) or more years' experience in General Liability claims handling.
Claims leadership background and/or claims designations a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom
