The Role



Develop training for Inspectors, Examiners and Engineers. The ability to present training to Inspectors, Examiners and Engineers .The ability to evaluate and qualify NDT equipment. Ability to lead Investigative Teams in Developing Root Causes, Corrective and Preventive Actions.




Must Have



Bachelor's Degree and 14 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 12 years of relevant professional experience;
Ph.D. and 9 years of experience.

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.




Nice to Have



The candidate is preferred to posses the qualifications, knowledge and abilities of the following:

Detailed Knowledge of all Non-Destructructive testing methods.Hold Level II or III Certifications in VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT Methods.
Posses the ability and skills to develop NDT Written Responses to Customer. Posses the ability to qualify and approve VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT techniques and procedures. Detailed Knowledge of NDT Calibration Standards . Detailed Knowledge of Nuclear NDT (VT, PT, MT & RT). The ability to evaluate and interpret weld and NDT pipe, structure and casting fabrication specifications.
