QUALIFICATIONS: Education Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science or related field. Experience - Five years of network engineer experience. Skills - High level of working knowledge of network and security architecture, best practices, design, and implementation. Work Environment Remote work with prior approval required for location of Home Office. DUTIES: Maintain the RISS network. Design, install, configure, and upgrade network devices, including network and security devices and appliances for the RISS enterprise. Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and other connected devices. Integrate network resources within the existing environment while assuring continuity of services. Monitor network security and performance. Provide administration services for all network infrastructure. Work with partners to ensure connectivity to all resources. Oversee and develop network infrastructure documentation. Collaborate with RISS Center information technology (IT) and help desk staff to assist with and troubleshoot complex technical issues and to provide infrastructure access, code examples, and web-based solutions to meet IT best practices and RISS infrastructure requirements. Assist in accomplishing the goals and objectives of RISS and any other duties or projects assigned by the RISS Chief Technology Officer.
