Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS: Education Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science or related field. Experience - Two years job-related experience. Skills - Understanding of development technologies and Microsoft solutions, including, but not limited to, Visual Studio, IIS, ASP.NET/MVC/API, C#, SQL Server, T-SQL, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, PowerShell, W3C WebAPIs, WCF, Active Directory, and ADFS. Understanding of software development methodologies, with a strong emphasis on agile methodologies. Self-starter who is detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects and tasks and communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing and work in a team-oriented environment. Work Environment Remote work with prior approval required for location of Home Office. DUTIES: Design, develop and maintain software products using knowledge of networking, cloud solutions, operating systems, hardware, and software. Document functional specifications for enterprise-class software products for RISS and engage in consultation with users to gather requirements for RISS software products. Design and develop prototypes for new product initiatives based on user design specifications. Log all software changes in the change tracking system and collaborate with team members. Collaborate with RISS Center information technology and help desk staff to assist with and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Assist in accomplishing the goals and objectives of RISS and any other duties or projects assigned by the RISS Chief Technology Officer. Candidate will be subject to: Drug Testing Extensive Background Investigation Law enforcement sensitive and potentially graphic or offensive material Candidate must pass CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) background requirements. ROCIC is a federally funded organization of criminal justice agencies in the southern United States working together to combat multi-jurisdictional criminal activities.
