We are seeking an experienced engineer to perform advanced engineering analyses and designs supporting operations, systems, programs, audits, inspections, and assessments. This role requires expertise in engineering methods, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will work independently, providing specialized advice and innovative solutions. Additionally, you will offer technical leadership and training on complex projects.
Principal Accountabilities:
Conduct advanced engineering analyses and designs for operations, systems, programs, audits, inspections, and assessments.
Work independently with minimal supervision, providing expert advice on specialized engineering requirements.
Develop innovative solutions using unconventional problem-solving techniques.
Lead and train teams on complex projects.
Apply advanced problem-solving techniques and methodologies to resolve complex issues.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to other engineers.
Develop new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Identify and address potential design, quality, or operational issues, initiating corrective actions as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution and eight years of engineering experience, including one diverse assignment; or a high school diploma/GED and a PE license obtained through accredited examination, plus eight years of engineering experience and one diverse assignment.
In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and theories.
Advanced technical knowledge of related disciplines.
Up-to-date with industry developments and applications.
Desired Education and Experience:
PE license preferred.
Experience with pipe stress analysis, pipe support, hanger support, and floor loading.
Experience in nuclear design processes.
Familiarity with Standard Design Process and Digital Design Process.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to provide technical guidance, leadership, and training.
Capability to work independently without supervision.
