Providephysical therapy services to patients who have impairments, functionallimitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease or othercauses. Practice in collaboration withother members of interdisciplinary team. Educate patients, families and others. Direct and supervise support personnel. Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively andefficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Physical Therapy needs are assessed and evaluated according toorganizational and professional guidelines.
Treatment plan reflects understanding of patients' age andsituation including discharge plan.
Treatment plan is revised based on patient progress towards statedgoals.
Documentation is complete, timely and in accordance with facilityand practice guidelines.
Therapy and health care students are oriented, trained, andmentored to achieve stated performance expectations.
Performance Improvement opportunities are identified and actedupon as appropriate to implement best practices.

Graduateof an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Licensed(and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts.
Skills (Specificlearned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding,presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)

Basicskills in math and computer science.
Appropriateknowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques to manage therehabilitation population.

Basicskills in teaching other and self assessment of learning needs, strengths, andprofessional goals.
Safelyexecute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self orpatients. Demonstrates the ability toassess and interact with patients and families using the theories of humangrowth and development, family systems, and cultural background.
Computerproficiency required. Microsoft officeapplications preferred with ability to learn new software.
Maintainvariable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs to provide patientcare (evening, holidays, weekend and travel).
