The Strategic Planning Manager is dedicated to shaping our company's direction and creating plans to achieve business objectives, by solving our customers' most pressing challenges. This crucial role collaborates across lines of business and functional teams to create recommendations to maintaining our competitive edge and effectively allocating resources to maximize return on our investments. Researches and analyzes industry and competitive trends to identify emerging market opportunities and strategic areas of interest. Identifies and prioritizes product and service improvement opportunities and creates plans for implementation. Develops complex forecasting models, budgets, resource allocation and plans for projects. Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business.
Responsibilities:
Support product strategy team with analysis, tools, models, and management cadence for selected areas of strategic growth.
Conducts primary and secondary research analysis to examine competitive performance, market need, and opportunities for growth.
Support teams and business leaders in structuring business cases, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, value-based pricing, economic benchmarking, and technological analysis across business segments.
Structure customer- and market-segmentation, developing and working with market models, deriving insight from internal and external data sources.
Support business leaders with effective analysis, modeling, and research tools, to develop recommendations and business plans for programs and service development.
Consult with stakeholders in the business, to uncover solutions to business challenges and opportunities through critical thinking and problem-solving skills, external benchmarking, and internal best practices.
Be the focal point and drive pro-active project cadence and "drumbeat" with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
Manipulate market databases, financial modeling, and analysis in tools such as Excel and Power BI to construct forecasts and analytical models.
Recommendations and Execution:
Desires to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has ability to self-manage multiple projects and work streams.
Works collaboratively with and supports multi-departmental efforts and projects.
Demonstrates flexibility and organization while maintaining elevated levels of performance.
Performs other activities as requested and prioritized by the Global Vice President of Strategy for Products & Solutions.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in a consulting firm or internal business consulting function leading initiative teams in strategy, operations, and transformation project work
Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
Complex program management experience
Analytical skills to understand the impact of recommendations on the organization and change management needs they will creation.
Clear, well developed oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to build diverse relationships internally and externally and excel within a matrix organization.
PC Tools Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Smartsheet and Power BI experience preferred.
