Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a NYC based mission driven Not For Profit seeks an Associate Director, Donor Services.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead/manage gift processing function, including supervising gift processing staff, and providing backup data entry assistance

  • Assist Donor Center with contacting donors to resolve questions

  • Ensure that effective processes are in place to follow up on gifts received with missing, incomplete, or unclear information, and that effective procedures are in place to provide oversight to the entire process

  • Work with program staff to ensure that restricted gifts tracked and are spent appropriately; Develop procedures to ensure that accurate and timely reporting is being provided to donors

  • Focus on operations improvement for gift acknowledgments, tax substantiation, and quarterly pledge reminders processes

  • Ensure the transaction processing and financial reporting components of the -Pledge to Cash- business process are working efficiently and effectively

  • In charge of monitoring the activities of the nonprofit watchdog agencies

  • Work closely with National Development in issuing financial annual performance reports to endowment and other donors

  • Responsible for presenting Campaign Revenue Forecasting pledge receivable aging and write-off reports

  • Prepare various financial campaign revenue reports (e.g., daily gift report, weekly and monthly campaign reports), providing accurate updates

  • Assist with reconciliation between (NetSuite) Raiser's Edge NX and the bank

  • Serve as the lead contact for colleagues requesting that new gift codes are created; Ensure that new codes are mapped between Raiser's Edge NXT and NetSuite

REQUIREMENTS:



  • College degree preferred (with major in Business or Finance) or relevant work experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with gift processing in a not-for-profit organization

  • Supervisory experience managing staff

  • Knowledge of fundraising and accounting

  • Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT preferred but must have direct experience with some relational database system

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, with particular experience in Word and Excel

  • Effective ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills dealing within the department, with other departments, and with donors

  • Adaptable and flexible to take on different tasks as needed

  • Strong customer service orientation and skills

  • Passion for and broad experience in improving efficiency and effectiveness of business processes

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and dedication to learning about how to enhance processes

  • Excellent supervisory skills

  • Understanding of non-profit financial tracking and gift recording

  • Experience with using general ledger systems is a plus






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
