Ever walk into a convenience store and wondered where those custom cabinets, store fixtures, and food service equipment comes from?
We are a Convenience Store design firm and store fixture manufacturer located in Hanover County. We specialize in innovative store design, commercial cabinet and wooden store fixture manufacturing, as well as food service equipment.
We are currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill an open role in the drafting and engineering department. Candidate must have experience reading and producing shop drawings for a production environment. Must be able to juggle multiple projects at once, under the guidance of project management. As part of the project team, you will be responsible for attending project meetings and meeting deadlines as determined by project management. We use Microvellum as our engineering and production software, so any experience with Microvellum is a plus, although not a requirement. AutoCAD experience is a requirement.

Duties include:
The creation and engineering of commercial store fixtures and cabinets using our product library
Interpreting architectural drawings and/or floor plans and design documents, and creating manufacturing-ready work orders for the production team
Attends all handoff meetings and brings necessary documents
Makes changes to documents as discovered in the handoff meetings
Responsible for document revision control per company procedure
Responsible for the electronic drawing database and its organization
Produces submittal drawings and delivers to Project Management as determined by project schedule
Produces and publishes shop drawings in a timely manner, as dictated by the project schedule
Archives completed project drawings per company procedure
Creates shop drawings that accurately define customer requirements, and ensures that customer requirements can be easily read and understood by manufacturing personnel
Produces an accurate work order summary for both inventory control and purchasing
