Location: Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates will be given flexibility to work from home but must be able to regularly come into the Washington, DC office four times a week. The Strategic Advocacy Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and management of enterprise and business unit-specific advocacy programs through coalition building, grassroots and grass tops initiatives.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Supports collaboration with federal and state government relations and business unit leaders to proactively identify public policy and business unit priorities in need of strategic advocacy supports.
Contributes to the development and implementation of strategies that leverage best practices and cutting-edge capabilities to continuously enhance strategic advocacy function.
Develops concise, precise and compelling communications to motivate key stakeholders, directly and via aligned third parties, to contact local, state, and federal elected officials and regulators (and other entities) on public policies that align with the company's core business priorities and other strategic business needs.
Supports the management and development of content for multiple communication platforms (e.g., websites, newsletters, social media, etc.).
Assists in the management and coordination of consultants and vendors for multiple grassroots and grasstops platforms, including budget management.
Assists in securing and executing earned and paid media through consultants and aligned third-parties support advocacy efforts.
Assists in proactively securing third party coalition partners and new surrogates to support our advocacy priorities.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of data-driven tracking of strategic advocacy programs, including key performance indicators.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $104,880 to $157,320.00
