We challenge you to join Sound Seal as a Sales Specification Representative where you will create a demand for Sound Seal products and bring in maximum sales results from all specifiers and customers.
Job Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with specifiers such as Engineers, Architects, Designers, Municipalities and owners to ensure that Sound Seal products are specified on all projects
Identify and contact new specifiers to establish a business relationship
Coordinate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to arrange product presentations for specifiers, demonstrating our value proposition and value engineering solutions to both specifiers and customers.
Assist in design and seek opportunities to specify Sound Seal products
Report to the Sales, Marketing and management on market trends, new competitive products and any issues of significance
Assist the Business Development Manager with pre and post tender information
Follow up with specifiers on specification strengths and weakness, and report to colleagues accordingly
Solicit specifier assistance / cooperation in expediting shop drawings approval when necessary
Complete Spec registrations and share information with colleagues and /or agents in and out of the region, as necessary
Keep abreast of products and technologies through in-house training, external courses, trade publications, etc.
Participate in trade shows and assist colleagues with presentations
Promote a positive attitude towards the Company and promote goodwill.
Job Requirements:
University or College graduate in a business program
3-5 years sales experience in the manufacturing/construction industry
Ability to perform and verify take-offs and effectively communicate the details to customers
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, CAD.
Proficiency with Pipedrive, SAGE-100 is an asset
Knowledge of project closing process a definite asset
Excellent interpersonal skills, team player
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
Must be able to work well under pressure
Ability to work unsupervised
