Job Description
The Director of Bar Success develops, coordinates, implements, and teaches in the law schools Bar Success Program.
Required Qualifications
*Juris Doctor degree; *prior experience teaching in academic success or bar preparation programs, such as first-year academic success, MPT skills-based, and bar preparation courses; *prior experience working directly with graduates who are preparing for the bar exam; *familiarity with relevant ABA Standards; *bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction (can be inactive).
Preferred Qualifications
*prior administrative experience coordinating a law schools bar preparation program; *law school advising, counseling, and/or tutoring experience; *a personal record of strong academic achievement.

Job Duty
teach bar preparation courses, which focus on both the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) subjects and the written portion of the bar exams;
Job Duty
teach other bar exam-related courses, workshops, and programming developed in response to the NextGen bar exam;
Job Duty
teach academic success courses and other courses, as schedule allows;
Job Duty
develop and provide bar preparedness programming for students from law school orientation through bar exam administrations in February and July;
Job Duty
provide post-graduate bar support and programming, which includes scheduling and teaching supplemental workshops, reviewing writing assignments, supervising summer faculty advisors, and meeting one-on-one with graduates as necessary;
Job Duty
provide general advising and support to individual students on character and fitness concerns, course selection, and other strategic bar application considerations;
Job Duty
provide tailored advising, coaching, instruction, and referrals to address barriers and develop essential skills for law school and bar success;
Job Duty
compile, track, and analyze student data to promote completion of bar preparation coursework and track bar passage for required reporting and trend assessment;
Job Duty
track and report information regarding bar passage, as required by the ABA and other accrediting bodies;
Job Duty
coordinate any bar review course contract(s), establish/maintain the relationship, evaluate the product, and track/review student performance within the product;
Job Duty
provide feedback on assignments and examinations through workshops and/or individual student meetings during law school and bar preparation;
Job Duty
promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large;
Job Duty
promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students;
Job Duty
participate on law school and University committees; and
Job Duty
other duties as assigned.
