The University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout) invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice Chancellor for University Advancement and Alumni Relations, and Executive Director of the Stout University Foundation (Vice Chancellor & Executive Director). The Vice Chancellor & Executive Director reports directly to the Chancellor and is a member of the Chancellors Cabinet.

The Vice Chancellor and Executive Directors primary responsibilities will be to develop and implement university-wide and unit-specific strategies for development and alumni engagement including any comprehensive, project, or program-specific campaigns; to build and lead the necessary infrastructure to support these efforts; to provide the Chancellor, other key internal leaders, and the Foundation Board, support in their work with top prospects and donors; and to oversee coordination of development and alumni engagement efforts across the university.
The Vice Chancellor & Executive Director will lead a team of 13 members dedicated to supporting and furthering the mission of the UW-Stout Foundation and Alumni Association. The UW-Stout Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization with assets of more than $91 million. It was organized and incorporated in 1962. The sole purpose of the Foundation is to provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff, and to help the university achieve the margin of excellence unattainable with state funds alone. UW-Stout completed its first and largest comprehensive campaign in 2020, raising $48.5 million, surpassing the initial goal of $35 million, and is currently exploring the feasibility for the next comprehensive campaign.
Minimum Qualifications for the position include a bachelors degree, at least seven years of professional and progressive fundraising experience, professional working knowledge of university advancement, alumni relations, fundraising and external relations, board management and management principles, and best practices, and a successful track record of personally cultivating, soliciting, securing, and stewarding major gifts.
