Summary
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Training Specialist is responsible for supporting activities that advance our mission to provide people who have different abilities opportunities to work achieve the highest level of independence possible.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding of new Project Managers (PM) at existing sites in the area of HR, Finance, MIS, ratio compliance, company mission and values among other areas such as contract/industry specific.
Mentor and help develop the team through training and problem resolution and help managers build an effective company culture.
Lead Operations team in researching, developing, and initiating effective training curriculum modules to enhance team capabilities.
Collaborate with the training department to create learning initiatives and training content related to Operations needs: computer, site specific or equipment modules.
Conduct audits ensuring employees are performing job responsibilities according to training. Monitor and track training progress of Operation teams to include managers and workers utilizing current tracking methods or improved tools.
Continue to develop and maintain Operations Training group page.
Manage and drive the Apprenticeship Program and CMI (ISSA Train the Trainer certification) and assist with preparation for audits.
Review and update Operations training SOP's.
Research new industries directed by senior operations team to recommend training required to be successful for growth.
Obtain train the trainer certifications as needed to lead the team in creating training materials to support growth. Support new business start-ups with training needs to include developing, scheduling, teaching, and tracking during the first six months.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Communication/HR/or related field. Will consider a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience (training content development, on the job training techniques and online learning management systems)
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Certifications/Licenses: CMI certification preferred (obtain within 6 months of hire)
Background checks: must pass various criminal background checks for State and Federal registries.
Must be 21 years or older, have a valid drivers license and pass the driving background check.
