ABOUT THE JOB:
The purpose of the Welder include but is not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
GMAW Structural Welding
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Handle multiple jobs within timeframes
Fit & weld small frames and support structures using jigs
Overtime as required
Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager
Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of using grinders, tape measure, punch press, drill press, hand tools
MIG welding
Cleaning of welds
Prepping materials for welding
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow all operating procedures, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement focused environment.
Able to read, write and speak in English language.
Work professionally, cooperatively and politely in a team environment and with customers.
Handle multiple tasks, work independently, recognize issues and solve problems.
Proficient in safety regulations and quality control related items.
Must have sufficient visual acuity and clear speech to perform the essential functions of the job effectively.
Able to learn, organize and prioritize work as necessary.
Ability to self-manage and solve problems.
Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Welder Helper:
High School diploma or equivalent
No experience needed – will train
Welder I:
High School diploma or equivalent
0-1 years welding experience - GMAW preferred
Welder II:
High School diploma or equivalent
2-4 years welding experience - GMAW preferred
Welder III:
High School diploma or equivalent
5 + years welding experience – Tig, Mig, GMAW preferred
Able to read, write and speak in English language is preferred
Able to work with and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
Work Hours / Shift
Work hours vary or change based on operational needs
Must be able to work overtime as required
