The PowerSchool Administrator will serve as a leading subject matter expert for the PowerSchool application including the initial implementation across managed schools. The PowerSchool Administrator is responsible for administering and managing the PowerSchool Student Information System in multiple states. The PowerSchool Administrator will work directly with the Product Director to establish best practices agreed upon with our business and school leads. Continuous communication with Product, Business Leads and Technology leadership will be critical to success in this position.

Own the technical administration of PowerSchool, PowerPack, eCollect, and PowerSchool customizations across all Managed Schools
Train and assist school administrators, faculty, and staff with using these programs
Analyze user requirements and design functional specifications for extending PowerSchool (and edge systems as needed) to include new functionality, such as enhanced reporting and data
Maintain the current PowerSchool environments, including user accounts and security groups/roles, and recommend improvements in processes and work
Engage with support to plan, implement, coach, and train for new releases and program updates
Create and maintain advanced reporting capabilities within PowerSchool
Monitor ongoing operations and data integrity and do periodic student data audits
Support data analysis, student assessments and grading, and other reporting needs
Work with staff to align PowerSchool parameters to academic and other policies
Maintain appropriate system documentation on procedures and configurations
Provide technical assistance and user support for IT tickets and issues related to PowerSchool and eCollect
Oversee accuracy of student enrollments, student transfers, student withdrawals, discipline, grading, and scheduling in PowerSchool
Work with staff from multiple schools to ensure attendance and enrollment records are accurate
Troubleshoot report card and transcript errors
Manage the End of year and Start of Year process
Provide technical assistance and support for PowerSchool and all linked programs/applications
Point person for data integration which includes rostering and single sign-on with 3rd party vendor solutions
Collaborate with various local and state agencies to secure relevant information and submit required forms.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Five or more (5+) years of experience as PowerSchool Administrator
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task, plan timelines, and coordinate with various departments; excellent time management, self-motivated
Advanced SQL, scripting, HTML, and reporting skills
Competent in PowerSchool object reports and APEX reporting
Ability to reconcile and analyze large datasets
Advanced Excel expertise
Academic software knowledge and experience (LMS, Content Management Systems, etc.)
Experience with Learning Support and Student Assessment systems and/or other types of data analysis systems
Familiar with Agile environment
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Must have the ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis in a remote position
Self-starter, leader in field, and fosters an environment of collaboration
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
Ability to travel 10% of the time
Ability to clear required background check

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $81,045.75 to $201,088.80. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
