Lead Quality Assurance Engineer



BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Quality Assurance Engineer for an opportunity in Minneapolis, MN!




Position Title: Lead Quality Assurance Engineer




Location: Minneapolis, MN

Anticipated Start Date: 12/9/2024.

Expected Duration: 9+ Months



Job Type: Contract, Remote

Pay Range: $70/hr - $80/hr.

Job Description: One of our top clients, whom is an industry leader, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Expert/Principal Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to lead their QAE team and drive the strategic direction of their quality assurance processes. This role involves setting the overall QAE strategy, mentoring junior engineers, and leading large-scale projects to ensure the highest quality standards for our products.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Support and maintain a comprehensive Quality Assurance Engineering (QAE) strategy.

  • Oversee the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts and frameworks.

  • Drive strategy around Test Data Management (TDM) solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of QAE processes.

  • Develop, maintain and enhance automation frameworks related to Selenium, Appium and Tosca

  • Support UiPath based Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations

  • Support acquisition, deployment, optimization, licensing, and utilization of testing tools.

  • Lead and mentor quality engineers, providing guidance and support in the form of code reviews.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QAE processes, tools, and methodologies.

  • Stay current and look forward at industry trends and best practices in automation and work with management to incorporate them into the team's practices.

  • Uphold and continually improve client IT Quality Assurance and Engineering standards and processes.

  • Support shift left strategy for testing methodologies (API, Database, Unit Testing).

  • Implementation and evolution of CI/CD.

  • Work with cloud-based technology and infrastructure (Azure and AWS).

  • Collaborate with management and external teams (Architecture, Development, Security, Product Team).

  • Drive process improvement in SAP around test automation.

  • Define coding standards and best practices.




Qualifications:





  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance and automation, with a proven track record of leading automation strategy and implementing frameworks.

  • Expertise in test automation infrastructure.

  • Expertise in Selenium.

  • Extensive working knowledge of Azure DevOps, including Work Items, Pipelines, Releases, and Test Plans.

  • Worked on various languages C#, JavaScript, Python, Angular.

  • Worked on various traditional databases such as Oracle, MS-SQL and non-traditional databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL etc.

  • Expertise in API Testing.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Able to envision bold, future-oriented goals and translate them into actionable strategies.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • In-depth knowledge of QAE best practices, tools, and methodologies.

  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools.

  • Expertise and working knowledge of the different types of testing (functional, system, integration, etc.).

  • Experience in working with SAP is a plus.
