Duties and Responsibilities	Provides quality teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of Economics, particularly quantitative courses, advise students, engage in research and other scholarly activities that result in publication in peer reviewed journals and serve on Department, College and University committees.
Conditions of Employment	This position is an open rank, tenure-track position. Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of due diligence background check and verification of credential. Proof of U.S. citizenship or eligibility for U.S. employment (Immigration Control Act of 1986). Please be advised, COVID-19 vaccinations are not required but encouraged for all eligible students, faculty and staff returning to USM institutions. This protocol is subject to change. Experience	Experience teaching a variety of Economics including quantitative courses required.
Education	Ph.D. in Economics required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities	Must have strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, services and technology application in teaching and learning; effective communication skills are essential; demonstrated success in grantsmanship preferred. The ability to interact successfully with students from diverse backgrounds is required.
