The Pre-Health Resource Center at the University of Pittsburgh is devoted to pre-health education, establishing a preeminent educational and advising infrastructure to support students interested in health sciences fields. With a focus on the undergraduate student community, the Center builds upon strong interprofessional working relationships within the Schools of the Health Sciences.
In keeping with the University’s Personalized Education Initiative, the Center will ensure robust education, programming, mentoring, and advising for students aspiring to careers in the health professions and provide opportunities for students to:
PHRC advisors provide information, support, and guidance as students explore career options; develop competitive portfolios of educational, experiential, and extra-curricular experiences; refine interview skills; and prepare applications to graduate professional educational programs.
Manages a program and improves student programs, services, and retention. Performs budgetary and grant functions. Manages daily office operations and operations for select services. Markets programs and services, presents workshops, and develops policies and procedures. Facilitates new student programming.
This role is primarily sedentary, with the occasionally need to walk or standing in the office, and the ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds.
