Situated in the heart of downtown D.C., Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Convention Center features spacious two-room suites, modern amenities, and 6,720 sq. ft. of versatile event space. Steps from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and major landmarks, it's an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Pay Rate: $37.5 per hour- (final offer based on experience )

What will I be doing?
AsSales Manager, you will be responsible for securing group and convention business by building and nurturing relationships with customers. This role involves maximizing hotel revenue through proactive sales efforts, market research, and a strategic approach to business development.

Position Summary:


  • Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts to meet and exceed lead generation goals.
  • Represent the hotel in developing market segments and building new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Strive consistently to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams.
  • Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current, and future hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture the maximum amount of lead revenue to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Demonstrate a disciplined approach to qualifying, negotiating, and securing new revenue for the hotel.

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:


  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of one year of Hotel experience in guest contact areas. Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to travel on short notice and adaptable to schedule changes.
  • Highly professional presentations and oral and written communication skills.
