What You'll Contribute to OHM Advisors
OHM Advisors' is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support the implementation of safety programs, initiatives, and compliance efforts. In this role, you will directly impact employee safety and the safety culture across all OHM disciplines and geographies by coordinating safety activities, maintaining safety records and analyzing project sites for safety hazards before, during and after construction.
Your Responsibilities
Advancement of Safety Culture:
Promote safety awareness campaigns and initiatives.
Facilitate annual review of the safety manual and any necessary updates or additions needed.
Facilitate, create and manage company-wide safety trainings.
Manage LMS' safety component including compliance content, training, implementation, and overall system maintenance.
Lead Safety Champions through safety initiatives.
Travel to meet with local leadership, contacts, and Safety Champions to form working connections with staff company wide.
Monitoring and Investigating:
Maintain and update safety documentation and records.
Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections.
Support accident and incident investigations.
Ensure safety signage and communications are up-to-date and effective.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Manage PPE company-wide with regional contacts.
Manage incident report tracking and safety metrics/documentation for bids.
Manage company internal safety page.
Requirements
Education, Experience & Licensure:
Bachelors degree or better
1-3 years of experience in a safety position.
Technical Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Working knowledge of necessary software products and ability to learn and adapt to new technology and advancements.
Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities.
Ability to work within a team as well as independently with little supervision.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
