Business Development Manager

Urban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals in Manhattan, NY to join our NY office as a full-time Business Development Manager. This position will be supporting upcoming projects in the New York area.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the Engineering industry
  • Strong understanding of the engineering, construction process and market dynamics
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the company's client base within the private and public sector
  • This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance the company's market presence
  • Market Research & Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the commercial construction sector
  • Analyze competitor activity and report findings to senior management
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions to meet their requirements
  • Proposal Development:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations
  • Ensure that all proposals align with company standards and effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build relationships and promote the company
  • Establish partnerships that can enhance service offerings or market reach
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets
  • Track progress and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure objectives are met
  • Work closely with project management, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment on business development goals and strategies
  • Reporting & Metrics:
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and outcomes

Pay Rate: $70.00 - $90.00 / hourly
