Urban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals in Manhattan, NY to join our NY office as a full-time Business Development Manager. This position will be supporting upcoming projects in the New York area.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Construction Management, or a related field
15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the Engineering industry
Strong understanding of the engineering, construction process and market dynamics
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding the company's client base within the private and public sector
This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance the company's market presence
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the commercial construction sector
Analyze competitor activity and report findings to senior management
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions to meet their requirements
Proposal Development:
Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations
Ensure that all proposals align with company standards and effectively communicate our value proposition
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build relationships and promote the company
Establish partnerships that can enhance service offerings or market reach
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets
Track progress and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure objectives are met
Work closely with project management, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment on business development goals and strategies
Reporting & Metrics:
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts
Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and outcomes
Pay Rate: $70.00 - $90.00 / hourly
