Your Role: Process Engineer
The process engineer is a technical leader in the operations area he/she is assigned within Clinton Labs, Elanco’s largest US manufacturing center. He/she will be a subject matter expert with respect to the process and the equipment, engaged in troubleshooting, data analysis, and regulatory compliance. The process engineer will play a key role in multi-disciplinary teams to continuously improve the process area in the aspects of safety, reliability, quality, operability, throughput, and cost.
Your Responsibilities:
The primary focus for this position will be providing technical support and engineering solutions to process and equipment related issues.
Shared responsibility for regulatory compliance.
Be knowledgeable enough on the computer support systems to aid in troubleshooting the process, analyzing data, and conversing with the operators.
Drive continuous improvement throughout the process, which will involve working with maintenance and operations and the management of some capital projects. Project work may include defining project scope, selecting appropriate equipment, overseeing design and construction, and performing qualification activities.
Collaborate with other process area members to evaluate sources of variability and find ways to reduce them. Possible sources of variability will involve the process, equipment, operator execution, and procedures.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: BS or MS in engineering (mechanical or chemical)
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good problem-solving skills to understand the scope of a problem and drive to resolution.
High degree of competence regarding communication skills (written & verbal).
Self-motivated team player with the ability to work, prioritize multiple activities, and deliver results with minimal supervision
