A strategic HR business partner who can interact with management to help achieve business objectives for the multi-site locations within the US. This role is critical in implementing and executing our people initiatives, providing superior internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. This position will be responsible for approximately 16 office locations on the West Coast reporting to the Director of HR - ASD and must be in or near Seattle WA or Centralia WA.
Location:
The Regional HR Manager will be based on the West Coast in or near Seattle WA or Centralia WA and will partner and support business unit managers involved in the Overhead Door Corporations Wayne Dalton Service and Install business, Wayne Dalton Sales Centers, OHD Parts and Overhead Door Central Manufacturing Plant. Relocation assistance may be available.Required Education:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or related field is required.
Relevant SHRM HR Certification is preferred.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent critical thinking skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret HR metrics, government regulations and other information used by HR professionals.
Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present in a group setting Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of variables in situation where only limited standardization exists.
Knowledge of employment laws and the ability to interpret and recommend approaches to complying with state and federal employment laws.
Ability to use MS Office products such as word, excel, PowerPoint, and outlook. Ability to use basic to intermediate formulas in excel such as calculations, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
Working knowledge of HR and reporting systems (e.g. Oracle). The ability to learn and use new systems such as Oracle HRIS and BI reporting. Ability to manage competing demands, prioritize and stay organized with a focus on results.
Ability to successfully support management in a rapidly changing and complex work environment and manage a high-volume workload. Ability to learn and grow knowledge and develop new skills.
Working Conditions:

Ability to travel 40% of the time by land or air with some overnight stays required.
Valid driver's license and insurance required.

Provides full-life-cycle HR support in areas such as talent assessment, retention, development, and compensation, as well as various other HR initiatives.
Provide a hands-on HR approach while successfully monitoring the "pulse" of the supported business units and employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Consults and partners with divisional leaders, regional and site management to determine HR needs specific to the organization and develop solutions to meet these needs by employing as much standardization as possible.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to ensure compliance.
Manages and facilitates annual HR initiatives in support of each business unit such as corporate wellness program, annual benefit enrollment, and required annual compliance training.
Acts as a Company's value champion to encourage the culture of living the values.
Participates in developing and recommending HR strategies that foster growth, culture, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.
Determine training needs for regional employees and partner with management and training team on implementation.
Provides internal and external customer service as needed and applicable.
Provides guidance and counsels managers and employees on various HR / employee matters.
Provides effective employee relations management and support and acts as a mediator, counselor, and facilitator to work through disputes.
Conducts investigations as needed and works through appropriate procedures to seek resolution.
Implements company policies and procedures for assigned business units and makes recommendations for procedure and process improvements in HR.
Participates in and supports assigned business units in the annual budgeting process for HR related areas.
Partners with the HR shared services team to reconcile employee payroll, benefits and time entry as needed.
Serves as the safety champion and partners effectively with health and safety to support the investigation of accidents and preparing reports for insurance carrier, analysis of problem areas and recommends solution.
Ensures onboarding and offboarding processes are managed and administered appropriately.
Uses HR analytics and reporting to interpret trends and make recommendations to develop strategies to address underlying issues.
Manages projects as needed and acts as project lead at times ensuring the project is implemented successfully and on time.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Attends company sponsored training as needed and applicable.
Performs other duties as assigned.

A minimum of five years in a HR manager position with demonstrated experience in employee relations, compensation analysis, organizational change, recruiting and talent assessment, HR policy and procedures administration, talent management are required.
Experience providing HR support in an hourly environment is required.
