This is a full-time role for a software support role. The software lets geologists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers execute on their technical workflows. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The job is based in Houston, TX with work from home opportunities. The duties for this role include:
Responding to and documenting customer help requests
Building and maintaining help documentation for the product
Conducting on-site and remote training sessions for customers
Being proactive in helping to address customer support issues
Working with the sales team to build compelling user demos and participate in sales calls as appropriate
Working with technical staff to ensure that product development and customer needs are aligned
You don't need to be an expert in the software - we'll teach you that, but you'll need to be eager to dive in and learn the software and the technical jargon of oil and gas.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and desire to help
Ability to read / write basic scripted equations
Creative problem solving skills
Experience with Python scripting is a plus
Experience in the oil & gas industry is a plus; especially as a data tech is a plus
Knowledge of geology, petrophysics, log analysis, reservoir engineering or computer science a plus.
Bachelor's degree in a related field
