Job Description
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will continue the design, development, management, maintenance, growth, and stability of the network's information technology architecture while ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives. The CTO plays a crucial role in driving innovation, shaping the digital roadmap, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology initiatives within the company.
The position's responsibilities include overseeing all technical aspects of the company, including systems architecture, software development, network infrastructure and data security. This individual will diligently develop and maintain the IT budget, ensuring that the IT infrastructure meets the company's evolving needs. This includes both on-premises network equipment and AWS-based compute resources.
As a senior leader, the CTO will be a strategic leader and provide direction to the Dev Ops team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, empowerment, execution, and open communication. This individual will also evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage these advancements to enhance operational efficiency and gain a competitive edge.
Responsibilities
Manage Shep Digital's software development team by setting departmental goals, overseeing employee day-to-day responsibilities, their development, and training programs
Responsible for the work product and budget of third-party development contractors
Manage product development initiatives in support of new products and the expansion of the product suit
Become proficient in omnichannel, "on-site" digital shopper marketing, and retail media network strategies.
Manages the company's Tech stack, Tech processes, and Tech training
Evaluates existing technology and systems to determine their impact, efficiency, and the competitive landscape of the industry.
Creates and monitors the company's IT budget to ensure it fits into and supports the company's overall budget
Supervises internal processes to ensure Technical and Software Development Operations best practices and cybersecurity, potentially including maintaining security compliance regulations
Evaluates the company's existing tech infrastructure to recommend upgrades and implement best practices
Outlines processes to achieve goals for the company's research and development teams
Collaborates with other C-suite executives, including the Chief Executive Officer, the President of the Company.
