Pacific Construction is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial, and public construction projects. This role is essential during the pre-construction phase, providing critical insights into project costs, materials, and timelines. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure that every project is financially viable and delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project plans to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to gather necessary information for cost forecasting.
Prepare and submit competitive bids for construction projects.
Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
Present cost estimates to management and clients with clarity, confidence, and strategic insight.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (5+ years preferred).
Proficiency in Excel.
Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and processes, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
