Responsibilities:

Lead the team day-to-day, evaluate performance, develop the leadership team and maintain good morale while enforcing standards and procedures to ensure brand standards are achieved and ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy environment. Primary leader who oversees all operations and sales while achieving guest services operational objectives by contributing recommendations, completing action plans, and creating efficiencies.

  • Foster effective communication and maintain professional relationships between all departments, the AKA brand, other Korman Communities brands, and the corporate office leadership team.
  • Achieve guest services operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans, implementing standards, resolving problems, and identifying improvements.
  • Meet financial objectives through yield management, budgeting, expenditure scheduling, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Establish and enforce standards and procedures to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment in compliance with regulations.
  • Stay updated on role knowledge through educational opportunities and professional engagement.
  • Lead and manage the property's operations, including sales, marketing, customer service, asset presentation and oversight of team members.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and oversee vendor and contractor relations.
  • Take direct responsibility for sales performance, including acquiring new relationships and maximizing revenue.
  • Participate in networking events, prepare reports and analyses, and implement marketing and outreach programs.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to directors/managers and align organizational strategies with brand objectives, financial strategies, estimate costs, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Enhance the property's reputation and establish beneficial partnerships with the community.
  • Ensure property cleanliness, comply with safety and sanitation guidelines, and facilitate necessary communication with directors and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and county laws and handle team member and resident incidents appropriately.
  • Maintain communication with guests, revise surveys, assist the sales department, and handle administrative tasks related to arrivals, departures, and billing.
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients, promote the LiveIT program, and engage with residents to generate additional business and leads.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude and possess strong knowledge of the local area and attractions.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and handle guest disputes professionally and courteously.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Desired Requirements:
  • Operational leadership in a General Manager role
  • Minimum of three to five years of Guest Service and three to five years of Sales experience.
  • A background in luxury or lifestyle boutique and/or branded hotels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement growth strategies and achieve financial goals through outstanding business acumen (i.e. P&L, forecasting etc.)
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful teams.
  • High level of self-motivation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage team members towards achieving organizational objectives while simultaneously holding team members accountable.
  • Flexibility in leadership style, able to adapt to different situations and needs.
  • Humble and approachable attitude, yet able to command respect and presence.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
