The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead the FP&A function, playing a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy. This role is responsible for providing financial insights and analytics to support key business decisions, developing the budgeting and forecasting processes, and leading the analysis of financial performance across business segments. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis within the chemicals, distribution, or similar industry.
Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques, with a solid understanding of financial statements.
Advanced skills in Excel, financial ERP systems, and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Power BI).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing finance teams.
Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Budgeting
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
Collaborate with business units to develop financial models and forecasts, providing insights into key business drivers.
Develop and manage a rolling forecast process to reflect real-time business updates and adjustments.
Business Performance Analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports, including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis of financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Develop dashboards and other tools to monitor financial performance metrics and operational drivers.
Strategic Financial Insights
Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, such as pricing strategies, margin improvement, and cost optimization.
Lead ad hoc analyses to support decision-making around product, customer, and regional profitability.
Support M&A activity by evaluating financial implications and conducting financial due diligence as needed.
Financial Process Improvement
Identify and implement best practices in financial analysis, planning, and reporting processes to drive operational efficiency and data accuracy.
Partner with IT and other departments to improve the integration of financial systems and reporting tools.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Build and mentor a high-performing team, promoting a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment on key financial objectives and initiatives.
