Location: Nashville, TN, Hybrid

Schedule: M-F, 9am-6pm

Job Summary:

The Manager, Rights Managements (Synchronization Licensing) is responsible for overseeing synchronization licensing administration, ensuring that all synchronization licenses are managed effectively and that our catalog is maximized for usage across various media platforms.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Facilitate the synchronization license process from beginning to end for record label and Big Machine publishing company, including but not limited to obtaining artist approvals, issuing licenses, review of requested changes to licenses, and ensuring timely payment received.
  • Facilitate and issue clearance waivers for publishing and record label.
  • Secure clearances from publishers and/or other third parties for label projects as needed.
  • Work, communicate, and collaborate with various internal departments to ensure best practices as it relates to job responsibilities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on licensing activity, revenue generated, and market insights.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to licensing agreements, copyright claims, and disputes in a timely manner.
  • Other rights management projects as needed and assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in music licensing administration.
  • Deep understanding of copyright law and licensing agreements.
  • In-depth understanding of the music industry structure and licensing practices.
  • High level of attention to detail in managing licensing processes and ensuring accuracy in license requests and agreements.
  • Ability to handle a high level of responsibility under strict deadlines, ensuring timely completion of licensing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and proactively address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain high confidentiality.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus, but not required.

None.
