Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma, as a Senior Lab Technician, you will support assay development through commercial application of new and innovative service offerings within the biosafety testing space. You are responsible for the scientific integrity of technical work performed in the laboratory, and will make scientific observations, maintain detailed workbooks/documentation and ensure all documentation fulfills generally accepted professional/industry standards.
Documents tasks in compliance with SOPs and regulations (cGMP and GLP)
Maintains a standard condition of the facility through daily cleaning
Ensures availability of lab supplies and orders supplies
Cleans and sanitizes equipment and supplies
Labels petri dishes and other supplies
Processes samples and ships inventory
Maintains temperature records
Complies with health and safety regulations
Cross-trains as needed and assigned
Performs other duties as assigned
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.)
High School diploma or GED with 1+ years laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with laboratory practices, equipment, and materials
Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
Effective oral and written communication skills
Math skills up to and including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Pay Range for this position - $36,500 - $85,300
