The Cardiac Rehab Physical Therapist/Exercise Physiologist is a vital member of the multidisciplinary cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation team.
The Cardiac Rehab Physical Therapist/Exercise Physiologist assesses patients; develops, implements and monitors exercise sessions as well as provide patient/family education as it relates to exercise, home exercise program, self monitoring, risk factors/modifications and behavioral interventions.
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds in a rapidly changing environment.
Minimum of a Cardiac Rehabilitation Internship or 1-2 years experience in cardiac rehabilitation program. Other requirements are dependent on type and/or current needs of the unit.
Completion of an accredited degree program at the bachelor's level Science in Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Nursing or another Clinical Science degree is required.
BLS required.
